Job description

We are offering a hiring incentive of $5,000! ($2,000 paid at 6-months and $3,000 paid at your one-year anniversary).

The Renaissance Hotel located in Bloomington, Minnesota is seeking an experienced, trustworthy & outgoing Director of Human Resources (People & Culture) to join our team of fun-spirited team members! Our newly renovated 250+ room hotel with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for both business and leisure travelers.

Job Overview: This HR role directs and ensures the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function to include recruiting, training, wage/benefit administration, payroll processing, compliance with statutory requirements and the execution of employee relations activities, in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives.

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:

Qualifications:

Education : Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge of skills and abilities.
Experience : Experience working with a hospitality union is required. Hotel experience required. Recent/Current experience working in a similar sized hotel is highly desired. Three years of professional human resources experience which includes recruitment, employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, and affirmative action planning. Previous experience in the utilization of applicant tracking systems and HRIS. Working in a managerial role in a union environment highly preferred. Experience with UKG & payroll processing is highly desired.
Licenses or certificates: SHRM Certification preferred.
Other : Additional language ability preferred.
