Responsibilities:
- Implement a range of sales and networking strategies such as prospecting and cold calling potential customers to maintain grow customer base and provide outstanding service to your existing book of business; positioning the company as one with a competitive advantage at every opportunity
- Gather all of the necessary information to evaluate the commercial insurance needs against available insurance products for each client, and negotiate the terms and conditions with key stakeholders
- Clearly explain all insurance coverage to clients and keep up with all insurance industry changes, including limitations, regulations, and relevant legislation that may impact available insurance services
- Visit with, follow up, call, and coach existing and prospective clients on commercial insurance policies as part of the company’s commitment to high-level personal attention and customer service
- Support clients efforts to decrease or eliminate the propensity for insurance claims by presenting them with reliable risk management reports
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the insurance industry as an insurance producer for commercial lines
- Computer proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
- Strong negotiation, research, analytical, and communication skill are necessary for success
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant discipline necessary - high school diploma is required
- In-depth knowledge of available insurance policies and insurance coverage offerings along with their key differentiators
