Job description
Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading Steel manufacturer in the Clayton area who is looking for a CNC Programmer to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity working 1st shift Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- CNC Programmer will set up CNC machines and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and alignment
- Programmer will oversee the operation of CNC machines, monitoring the production process to identify and address any issues that may arise
- Programmer will implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the precision and accuracy of machined steel components
- Programmer will prepare detailed programs for Angle Master (Punt & Shear), Voortman(drill, saw and plasma), Messer (Burn – oxy-fuel and plasma) and Gemini (Burn – Plasma).
- Programmer will develop and maintain Programming Procedure Manual
- Programmer will develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for steel machining operations based on engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Programmer will utilize CAD software such as Peddimat, Vacam, ProNest, and WinNest Softwares.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have at least 1 year of CNC Programming experience in the steel industry
- Candidate must have proficiency in CAD/CAM software
- Candidate must have a strong understanding of machining processes, tool selection, and cutting parameters for steel
- Candidate must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Candidate must be proficient in mathematics
- Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills
