Position Summary:

 

Nusano has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer with experience in particle accelerator physics and electrical engineering, particularly RF and magnetics, to support the West Valley City Production Facility in Utah. This team member will provide support for the development of a heavy ion linear accelerator, solid and gaseous target stations, and radiochemistry equipment and machinery. The Systems Engineering team is responsible for developing system architecture using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, gathering and managing technical requirements, coordinating interfaces, developing verification & validation (V&V) test plans, helping functional design teams integrate their work into the larger project, and assisting the scientific, engineering, and operations teams in transitioning the project into full production. This team member will have primary responsibility for coordinating system elements with strong physics, EE, RF, and magnetics aspects. These include key subsystems vital to accelerator operation, like drift tubes, steering magnets, klystrons, and beam optics tuning.
