Pro Shop Manager - Marine Dealership

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Manage Pro Shop inventory shipping, receiving, sales in order to meet or exceed department budget targets for margin, revenue and labor costs.

2. Manage Pro Shop Inventory to near 100% accuracy and breakage at 1% or less of Sales annually.

3. Create and manage a marketing plan to promote Pro Shop sales and grow revenue year to year.

Major Duties

-Manage and police Pro-Shop Team to meet or exceed Pro Shop and Gas Dock customer's expectations.

-Create and maintain procedures of opening and closing the Pro Shop daily.

-Facilitate or complete accurate closing of the Pro Shop till daily.

-Expert knowledge of the Dock Master Point-of-Sale system is helpful.

-Assist Parts Department, Service Desk, Marina Desk or other departments as needed during off-season and slow times.

-Maintain Pro Shop inventory to clean with correct price and barcode stickers at all times.

-Expert knowledge of water sports gear and current water sports accessory market trends.

-Manage Pro Shop social media to help promote and grow the Pro Shop.

-Create, manage and promote offsite events in order to promote and grow Pro Shop sales and profit.

-Propose and place approved annual orders of all Pro Shop inventory and order as needed in-season to maintain appropriate inventory levels to maximize sales and profit.

-Come up with exciting and creative options for apparel to be sold in Pro Shop and online.

-Understand and utilize cost calculators for parts pricing to increase economic opportunity.

-Receives all incoming Pro Shop inventory.

-Verify Pro Shop pricing and inventory accuracy, as well as location accuracy, through a system of cycle counts, spot checks and annual inventory count.

-Generate revenue through sales of Pro Shop inventory and fuel.

-Monitor and manage Pro Shop expenses to meet budget or adjust proportionally to increases in business.

-Ability to implement effective and efficient work procedures.

-General knowledge of customers boats, and expert knowledge of Wakeboats and Wakeboat accessories.

-Customer Relations (internal & external)

-Explore ways to better serve customers (Internal & External).

-Develop ways to communicate with customers to maintain a “personalized environment” and obtain feedback to monitor customer satisfaction. (ie. greeting customers, docking assistance on fuel dock, ease of access for customer boat pick up, etc.)

-Participate in any Team building events and promote positive interdepartmental relationships.

-Attend instructional courses as needed

-Attend Boat Expo and other special events as needed.

-Provide timely responses on all inquiries; internal and external.

-Customer oriented & comfortable/confident speaking with customers, giving quotes, following up on all issues (both good & bad).
