We are seeking an experienced senior level accounting and finance professional to join our client, a growing financial services organization, dedicated to providing exceptional advisory services to their growing portfolio. Location: Fairfax, VA
Schedule: Hybrid (primarily onsite)
Compensation: 130,000-150,000 + bonus

Senior Associate, Accounting and Finance Advisory
As a Senior Associate within this Advisory team, he/she will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive financial guidance and support to the portfolio companies as they grow. The Senior Associate will collaborate with a talented team of professionals to address complex accounting challenges, implement best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to clients on financial matters, including but not limited to GAAP, contracts, debt/financing, and organizational development.
- Collaborate closely with client teams and senior management to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and contributing to the overall success of their business initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging accounting trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to ensure clients receive the most relevant and up-to-date guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on accounting advisory services or assurance for privately held companies.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting standards, including recent updates and developments.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex accounting issues and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work products and exceeding client expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with accounting software tools preferred.
