Job Title : RN Clinical Coordinator ED Observation
Duration: Full Time
Location: Lakewood, CO
Shifts : Nights
Job Summary: In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:
- Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.
- Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.
- Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.
- Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.
- Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Education: - Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Certifications/Licenses: - RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
- Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multi state license, the former license is inactivated.
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- ACLS and NIHSS required within six months of hire or transfer
Experience: - One year RN experience required
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
