Systematically evaluates the strengths, needs, preferences, and challenges of infants and children, in collaboration with the family, as part of a NJ Early Intervention Team. Collaborates with family and other Individual Family Service Plan Team Members to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) which incorporates family priorities/concerns, clinical observation, and evaluation/assessment data to develop child and family outcomes. Implements evidenced-based instructional practices in the child s natural environment. Provides education, resources, and coaching to clients, family, caregivers, and health care professionals to promote and maintain health and well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college/university
Experience: Preferably, at least one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities. Knowledge of family centered-practices. Knowledge of typical and atypical child growth and development. Functional computer skills.
Certification /Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapist, State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Board of Physical Therapy.
Physical Requirements: Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance and a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Safety ADM.291
