This role is 100% onsite in South Burlington, VT for a training period of at least six weeks. After the training period is complete, this role is primarily onsite with flexibility.
Lead the University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group Finance team as the Finance Manager!
Recent restructure of the Medical Group including six hospitals.
Growing team of nine direct reports.
Emphasis on engaging and developing team members and building collaborative relationships across the Health Network.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Network Medical Group Finance Manager provides daily management of the Network Medical Group Financial Analyst team and is the primary point of contact for financial operations of the Network Medical Group, including the UVM Larner College of Medicine, the Network Payroll and Budget departments, and local partner finance and accounting teams. As a key finance member of Network Medical Group, the incumbent will proactively anticipate and interpret finance needs, make recommendations, and respond to those needs by facilitating appropriate resources within and beyond the Medical Group Finance team. This position requires advanced analytical, project management, and presentation expertise paired with strong communication, relationship management, and leadership skills. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for various Network Medical Group Finance duties, providing training and/or project management as directed by the Medical Group Director of Finance or VP of Finance.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
5 – 7 years of progressive, successful experience in finance. Previous experience should include healthcare financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and supervision of a team of financial professionals. Previous experience with Medical Groups, professional revenue, and physician compensation plans highly desirable.
