One of Central PA's leading providers of Behavioral Health Services is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to join their team in Berks County. Behavioral Health Technicians provide therapeutic support services to children and adolescents with Autism and other behavioral health disorders. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in teaching, mental health, behavioral health, or childcare who are passionate about improving the lives of children and teens with behavioral health disorders.
As A Behavioral Health Technician, You Will:
- Work one-on-one with children and adolescents with behavioral disorders in their homes, schools, and communities
- Utilize positive reinforcement, emotional support, psychosocial rehabilitative activities, and crisis intervention strategies
- Work in a team alongside clinicians, teachers, and parents to support the child in making behavioral improvements and improving social and daily living skills
Education, Experience, and Training Requirements for Behavioral Health Technicians:
*At Least 1 Of The Following MUST Be Met
- Have certification as a BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT
- Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an accredited agency
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health (therapeutic support staff, paraprofessionals, instructional aides, special education teacher's aides, etc.)
- Have a high school diploma AND have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification
In Addition:
- A valid driver's license with reliable transportation to clients' homes and schools is required.
- Able to work a mix of day and evening hours
