Job description
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and enhance a safety-first culture, alongside advocating for ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Health and Safety Team to support and reinforce safety protocols.
- Take ownership of and elevate our Quality Standards to industry-leading levels.
- Strategically manage financial aspects, including the formulation and oversight of budgets for labor and maintenance operations.
- Coordinate the development and execution of production and staffing schedules, ensuring meticulous adherence to procedural documentation for operational integrity.
- Manage the regular maintenance of plant equipment, guaranteeing adherence to schedules and high-functioning status of machinery.
- Procure and allocate maintenance resources effectively to ensure operational continuity.
- Guide and assess the performance of supervisory personnel, reinforcing company standards and best practices.
- Enforce the use of prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) by all staff, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Maintain the production environment's cleanliness to uphold standards and operational efficiency.
- Engage in the talent acquisition process, providing training and growth opportunities, and address performance and disciplinary matters in collaboration with supervisory staff.
- Uphold and navigate compliance with regulatory bodies such as OSHA, EPA, and local governing authorities.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in leadership and communication, capable of mentoring and guiding teams.
- Competent in mathematical and precision measurement abilities.
- Self-directed with a robust initiative, able to work autonomously.
- Excellent at identifying and resolving complex issues.
- Proven supervisory experience with a track record in personnel development and implementing disciplinary procedures.
- Deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within a corporate setting.
- Expertise in production methodologies and equipment, with a strategic approach to change management.
- A minimum of seven years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior involvement in metal foundry, chemical industries, or related fields is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire change within an industrial setting.
- History of effective budget management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with industry standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Experience in managing compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations.
