Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and diligent General Worker - Food Service-Dishwasher to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the food service area. The General Worker - Food Service-Dishwasher will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and other food service equipment, as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher or by hand
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and other equipment in their designated places
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly manner
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and sanitized at all times
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Assist in food preparation as needed
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in a proper manner
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures and health and safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and humid environment
