POSITION SUMMARY

• DIVISION : Government Services
• SUPERVISOR: IS Service Manager
• UNION REPRESENTATION: Employees Association (EA)
• P OSITION PURPOSE : The primary role of the IS Assistant (Help Desk) is to staff the Computer Help Desk at Lane Council Of Governments and to assist users in resolving recurring hardware and software-related problems in a PC-based Local Area Networks (LAN) environment in person, over the phone, Zoom, or MS Teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• Associate's degree in computer science
• Two years of related experience
• Experience working with PCs
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Professional Operating systems, and Mobile devices that are both Android and iOS based.

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the job.

• Passing a background check is required for this position.

Preferred

• Experience with Voice over IP (VOIP) phones and software.
