Job description
Kforce's client, a well-established and growing multi-state service based company in the Grand Rapids area, is looking to add a Lead Accountant to their corporate Finance team. This position will lead 2 staff, and report to the Director. This company has a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, the Lead Accountant will ensure accrued revenue is posted accurately each month, as well as invoicing clients for revenue and reconciling outstanding balances
- Work to integrate and automate the revenue recognition process using various internal systems
- Independently research key revenue and policy updates
- Manage revenue loss due to controllable data/policy issues with cross functional teams
- Update internal stakeholders of budget impacts and revenue projections
- Create journal entries to recognize revenue monthly
- The Lead Accountant will manage accounts receivable balances and clear them by the end of the fiscal year
- Process revenue billing in applicable locations
