Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for the School of Arts and Sciences ( SAS ). We are looking for a candidate that has experience in building high performing, scalable, enterprise grade applications, to be part of a talented software development team that works on mission critical cutting-edge online education and instructional technology applications.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Responsible for estimating resources, skill requirements, time requirements, identifying tools and technologies and participating in proof of concepts during initial phases of the projects.
• Responsible for the java/java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Identify target audience and accordingly set up the server and database architecture to support highly incoming network traffic across a group of backend resources or servers.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of web application development experience.

Equipment Utilized:

• The Application Developer will be provided with a high end workstation and 2 monitors.
• The software required for development work as well as a number of robust testing platforms will be provided as needed and will be purchase by the center as needed.
