GatesAir is hiring a Visual Content Specialist responsible for producing a wide range of visual assets, including graphic designs and video content, to support the overall marketing and communication goals of the company. This role involves a combination of graphic design skills, video editing capabilities, and a keen understanding of visual storytelling.
The Visual Content Specialist will play a crucial role in creating a visually compelling and consistent brand image across various mediums, contributing to the overall success of marketing and communication efforts. This entry level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of graphic design and video content creation.
Graphic Design:
- Develop visually appealing and on-brand imagery and infographics for various purposes, including social media posts, marketing materials, presentations, and website elements.
- Ensure consistency in design elements to maintain a cohesive visual identity across different platforms.
Video Content Creation:
- Conceptualize, script, film, and edit videos to create engaging and informative content. This may include promotional videos, tutorials, product demonstrations, and more.
- Integrate graphic elements into videos to enhance visual appeal and convey information effectively.
Content Strategy:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align visual content with overall content and marketing strategies.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of imagery, video, and thumbnails for campaigns across all social media channels and YouTube.
Brand Communication:
- Work closely with the marketing and branding teams to ensure that visual content aligns with the brand guidelines and effectively communicates the brand message.
- Help translate brand messaging into visually compelling and impactful designs.
Required Skills:
- B.A. or B.S. in Visual Communication, Digital Marketing, or other relevant degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2 years’ experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and video editing software like After Effects and Premiere Pro (or simliar tools like DaVinci Resolve).
- Must have portfolio showcasing visual design work, brand mission support, and storytelling.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suite (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Skills:
- Creativity: The ability to generate creative ideas and translate them into visually appealing designs and engaging video content.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication to understand and convey design concepts, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Organization and Time Management: The capacity to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adaptability: Stay updated on design trends, video production techniques, and emerging technologies to bring innovative and fresh ideas to the visual content creation process. Adapt to changes in project priorities and deadlines.
