Logistick, Inc. is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial freight securement company servicing many Fortune 1000 customers, including some of the biggest, most progressive companies today. Logistick is seeking a strong, experienced Sales Development Manager to help develop and manage new account relations and grow product sales.
1. Basic Functions:
- This critical, customer and product-sales-oriented role is focused on growing the customer base and company revenue by acquiring new customers .
- The BDM must have the desire to become a load securement specialist and successfully promote the Logistick brand and expand sales of our innovative line of load securement products, including blocking & bracing, freight damage prevention, and employee safety solutions for over-the-road, ocean, and intermodal shipments.
2 . Reporting Relationships:
Reports To: VP of Sales & Marketing
Responsible For: Growing Revenue through New Customer Acquisition
Work Directly With: Management, Sales Team, Customer Service, Administration/Operations Team, and R&D Team
3. Responsibility & Duties:
Primary:
- Become an expert in Logistick product offerings and value proposition to prospects
- Identify prospects, develop, manage, and grow recurring, profitable sales with accounts
- Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
- Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
- Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
- Learn and utilize Logistick IT systems and procedures
- Customer service, partnership development, and customer retention
- Sales Tactics and Methods - Phone (inbound and cold calling), customer visits, Email, social media along, and other electronic B2B communications
- Customer onboarding
- Travel to HQ for training & quarterly Sales/Company meetings
Secondary Duties:
- Travel to current or potential customers in a sales and/or support role, including to demo Logistick products, to assist with test loads, or troubleshoot customer challenges & concerns
- Periodic travel to Tradeshows and/or exhibits
- Supporting Logistick's product and innovation focus
4. Job Requirements:
- An innate hunger to research, identify and secure new business.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A four-year college degree may be waived as a requirement if there is a sufficient record of proven sales/development experience, 2-4 years.
- Prior experience in transportation, distribution, warehouse, or general sales experience.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office 365 as well as CRM knowledge and experience.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Critical thinker, and a problem solver.
- Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and training skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to drive projects, but also team-chemistry inclined.

6. Criteria for Measuring On-the-Job Success:
- Achieve new account targets
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quota
- Help the team achieve Monthly Team Goal
- Hit gross margin targets
7. Physical activities and requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time; ability to work in a standard office environment; may be exposed to outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and install Logistick products, which may require bending, stooping, knelling etc.
