Job description

Every member of the Legacy community moves toward a common goal of providing the best possible care in the most compassionate environment. Your skills as an Angiography Technologist will help to fulfill that goal at our Salmon Creek Medical Center location. 

 

As you provide imaging procedures according to physician’s orders, you will be extending professional, expert care to the patients we serve.

 

Angiography, Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology Technologists provide the highest quality care using the most advanced technologies for diagnosis and treatment in our Cardiovascular (Cath Lab) and Hybrid labs located at each Legacy site.

 

Below are the respective 2023 pay ranges for the progressive experience levels:

Legacy Health has six hospitals in the Portland Metro and SW Washington areas with a dedicated children’s care site at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel campus. Locations include: N/NE Portland for Emanuel Hospital and Randall, NW Portland with Good Samaritan, Gresham for Mt. Hood Medical Center, Tualatin for Meridian Park,  our Mid-Willamette Valley site, Silverton Medical Center and in Vancouver WA, Salmon Creek Medical Center. 

 

We have more than 70 primary care, specialty and urgent care clinics, nearly 3,000 doctors and providers, almost 14,000 employees, plus lab, research and hospice, and a partnership with PacificSource health plan.

Performs primary role, fluoroscopy and acquisition (cine), during procedures in the Catheterization Laboratory according to physician's orders, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment.

 

Performs secondary and tertiary roles (scrub assistant, monitoring) during procedures in the Catheterization Laboratory in accordance with physician orders.

 

Act as preceptor for Angiography Technologist I and II orientees.

 

Give a presentation or participate in a yearly education or quality improvement project in the Catheterization Laboratory.

Education

Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology school or program. 

 

Experience:

Level I - LRT license as you continue toward your ARRT-R registry. Current American Heart Association BLS is also required.

 

Level II - 1-year of previous experience in the field of Angiography/Cardiac Catheterization, applicable state LRT and the national registry or ARRT-R and ACLS is required. 

 

Level III - 2-years previous experience in the field of Angiography/Cardiac Catheterization is required. You must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of Cath Lab x-ray table equipment and demonstrate knowledge of Cath Lab product inventory. Applicable state LRT and the national registry or ARRT-R and ACLS is required.
