Job description
Title: Facilities Maintenance
Supervisor: Ministries Pastor
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
MINISTRY SUPPORT
- Coordinates with Business Administrator on annual budget for managing the maintenance and security of the facility along with documentation of all service agreements, warranties, and safety-related documentation
- Works with staff on room preparations and ensures rooms are setup and ready for use across the campus
- Offers clear instruction to staff regarding how to report maintenance issues and communicates updates and completion of maintenance requests
- Performs routine inspections of the facility and addresses any maintenance needs
- Provides a comprehensive written facility plan with details regarding recurring maintenance updates, purchases and preventative plans for buildings and equipment
- Knows and understands state and local building and property maintenance codes to ensure Rocky Creek stays in compliance of the law
FACILITY MAINTENANCE
- Knowledgeable of the relationship between Rocky Creek and the contracted security system including notifying of malfunctions, training for staff, and updates for systems
- Performs routine inspections of the facility and addresses any maintenance needs and communicates with Missions Pastor and Business Administrator
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and wiring as within reason and dependent upon job scope
- Understands the door schedule system(s) including maintaining an updated document housed in Google documents with regular door lock expectations
- Works with Receptionist to train in door locking systems and calendaring for door locks
- Develops a tracking system to keep records of when bills are due, how they are paid, and how much the bills are month-to-month
- Serves as main point of contact for emergency calls from Police, Security System, Fire Department
- Contacts businesses and disputes facilities bills related to maintenance that are not correct
- Works in coordination with the Business Administrator to research contracts with vendors to be good stewards of the resources of the church
VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- Identifies and maintains contact list of vendors who consistently do business with Rocky Creek
- Communicates with Receptionist vendors who and when may need access to areas of the building
- Works in conjunction with the Facilities Team to obtain proposals, bids, and contracts for work to be done for the church
*Available for other projects as needed
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, rotating weekends, holidays and summer if available (minimum of 7 weekday hours or two shifts per week)
- Ability to effectively monitor and communicate to members, guests, and staff
- Punctuality, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
- Good oral and written communication skills; strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and think critically
- Knowledge of Google Workspace
- Ability to lift 45lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk three flights of stairs
