CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree preferred pr e ferably in agriculture, public wellness, social sciences, or related field. A Master Gardener will be acceptable. Experience preferred in working with children, gardening, food, or farm to school.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Should have proven experience in farming. Should possess a strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices. Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office program or programs as indicated in the specific function within the department. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to exercise independent judgment with tact and diplomacy in all situations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping , digging, kneeling stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Physical requirements of this position are exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.

PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible for the day-to-day program demands that will involve coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating program activities associated with the Farm to School Program.

STAFF RELATIONSIDP: Reports to the Nutrition Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part time , 12-Month Schedule, Non- Exempt
