Position Summary:

Rutgers School of Health Professions ( SHP ) – Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions is seeking Peer Support Specialists III for the Eye2Eye Peer Support Program for Vision Loss. The Peer Support Specialist will provide peer support services and other program outreach and fundraising support for the program.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Provides phone-based one-to-one and group peer support services.
• Supports program outreach and promotion activities, which may include support in tabling events and/or developing and delivering presentations as feasible.
• Supports grant seeking and other fundraising efforts, which may include participation in grant and other fundraising meetings, and assistance with development of proposals.
• Participates in weekly group supervision meetings.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in helping or human services role or as peer supporter with shared lived experience.

• Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing.
• No special vision requirements.

Salary: $24.00/hourly
