Asset Management Summer Internship (Temporary)

 

FUNCTIONS:

 

Princeton University Department of Facilities is pleased to offer a summer employment opportunity for individuals who are pursuing a degree in Facilities Management. The chosen candidate will have an excellent opportunity to learn from the senior Facilities Leadership and gain experience in the day-to-day operations of a large University facilities organization.

 

The internship program will provide exposure to a diverse number of Facilities disciplines at Princeton University. The successful candidate for this summer position will be assigned a project which will be presented to the Facilities senior leadership at the conclusion of the employment period.

 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

1. Interact with a number of functional subgroups within the Facilities Operations structure; which may include: Customer Service Center, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Building Trades, Grounds, Life-Safety Systems, Departmental Administration, Small Projects, and Engineering.
2. Complete a specific project, or multiple projects which requires strategic thinking, data analysis, and process improvement.
3. Interact with Facilities Senior Leadership.
4. Other duties as assigned.

1. Be over eighteen years of age and in good academic standing. Major in Facilities Management or related degree preferred.
2. Must be able to perform the principle duties, tasks, physical demands, and responsibilities of the position.
3. Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
4. Must possess computer systems competency and have familiarity of Microsoft Office Software Suite.
5. Must be a self-motivated individual, who pursues innovation.
6. Be able to pass a background check.
