Job description
Headquartered in Reno, Nevada, Ormat is a leading geothermal company and the only vertically integrated company solely engaged in geothermal and recovered energy generation (REG), with the objective of becoming a leading global provider of renewable energy.
Position Summary
As a member of the US Treasury Department and under the director of the Treasury Supervisor, this position supports the accurate and efficient operations of Ormat’s US Treasury and finance needs.
Essential Functions
- Monitor daily cash positions, forecast short-term cash flow requirements
- Manage bank accounts - open/close bank accounts, other bank relationship experience
- Cash management of bank accounts related to loans - debt service payments, distributions, cash transfers, covenants calculations
- Responsible for reporting related to loan agreements, partnerships, and other matters related to finance agreements
- Cash flow reporting - budget, actual
- Maintain SOX documentation for related responsibilities
- Responsible for various Treasury reports to management
- Assists with setting up LOC’s / SBLOC’s / surety bonds

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education
- 1-3 years’ experience in treasury / finance related field
- SAP knowledge / experience preferred
- Experience with international banking a plus
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to understand and summarize financing contracts
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with company proprietary information
- Must be team-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work with cross functional teams
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and use of the internet.
- Must have the ability to communicate at a level that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
Physical Requirements
- The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time
- This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
