Job description






Position Summary:

Oncology Dietitians are primarily responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care, Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), and nutrition education for oncology patients at multiple clinic sites throughout the region. This position develops and implements best-practice strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities, primarily focusing on oncology-specific dietetics. Responsibilities include planning, administering, and managing programs that improve the health of individuals impacted by cancer and the community, both one-on-one and community-based group nutrition education for adults; maintaining grant and contract requirements, program budgets, and expenses; integration of nutritional programming and services throughout the cancer care continuum. Dietitians serve as a health resource for the community and support the community in behavior change through promoting and advocating for public health.




Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics



CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Dietitian License Current licensure in good standing as a Dietitian in the State of Illinois within 6 months of hire/start date upon hire and Registered Dietitian (CDR) Must possess and maintain current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) upon hire.



EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1 year of experience in dietetics
