Broward Health Imperial Point is a hiring a part-time Nurse Specialist, INV LAB CVS to join our teams as the hospital opens its new, state-of-the-are Cardiovascular Services Center. Our hospital is located in Imperial Point area of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and is a 200+ bed facility focused on working as a full partner in the well-being and growth of the communities it serves. Part-Time Eligible Position. 40 hrs. Monday–Friday 7:00-3:30pm; on call requirements.

*HIRE-ON/RETENTION BONUS - 7,500.00 Two years in a Level II facility or three plus years in ICU and/or IVR)

*Employee Referral Bonus - $1,000.00 (Employee's name must be listed on app)The Nurse Specialist, INV LAB CVS will assist the Cardiologist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angioplasty with stenting related procedures.

This position will monitor radiation safety for physicians, patients and staff.

This position will also be responsible for & Hemodynamic data collection related to right and left heart catherterization, intra-aortic balloon pump therapy, stenotic valve area, shunts and ejection fractions are recorded accurately.

Strong technical experience in aspects of patient monitoring, diagnostic/therapeutic cardiovascular technology is needed for this role; as well as, the ability to manage and prioritize during a crisis or stressful situation. Comprehension and adherence to sterile technique is imperative. The ability to apply critical thinking skills in a difficult or challenging case is important. Excellent communication skills are needed to ensure a safe and positive experience for all patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills is key.

Current State of Florida RN & licensure. Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of nursing. American Heart Association BLS and ACLS cards required. Two plus years in a Level II facility or three plus years in ICU and/or IVR. Provides comprehensive nursing care (direct and indirect) to an assigned group of Cardiac patients.
