Manual Machinist - Starting pay is based on experience, typically $24-$28/hour or higher
- 1 st shift Monday - Thursday, 6am 430pm, OT may be required on Friday
- Located centrally in Warrensville Heights, OH
- Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.
As the Manual Machinist you would be responsible for using Bridgeport Mills, Manual Lathes, Drill Presses, Band Saws, and Surface Grinders to repair die cast tooling and die cavities.
Duties/Responsibilities - Works from drawings to analyze difficulties and diagnose repairs needed.
- Set up and operate standard tool room equipment including manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders to machine parts for die casting equipment.
- Uses precision measuring devices.
- Makes new slides, cores, ejector pins and pinions.
- Makes repairs to die cast tooling.
- Cleans die cavities, polishes molds and cores, adjusts gates as needed.
- Removes drag, straightens cores, drills water lines, etc.
- Assists in removing stuck castings from molds as needed.
- Review production schedule and die repairs needed to ensure dies are ready for production.
- Work directly with other department supervisors to expedite priority jobs in order to meet customer delivery requirements.
Skills/Qualifications - 3 years' experience working with Manual Machines or doing die repair
- Must be able to drive tow motor
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Candidates will be subject to pre-employment screening.
