Tax Staff Accountant - Columbia, TN

A day in the life:
You love to:
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C Corporations, S Corporations, trusts, estates and individuals
- Research tax issues and reach conclusion with adequate technical support
- Review and organize tax information supplied by client
- Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company's financial status
- Assist with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization
- Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Assist in bookkeeping and accounts payable functions
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
What you'll need:
- Commitment to outstanding client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- CPA or actively working toward achieving license
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment when needed
