Job Summary:
Responsible for new program development and implementation cost effectively. Identify for the long- and short-term projects that will provide efficient, effective and timely service to customers in the various areas of support. Evaluates new technical developments and institutes effective software and hardware changes. Coordinate activities between groups/disciplines. Provides leadership, information and support team members and subordinates. Responsible for Tech Group development standards such as MOU, NDA projects requiring minimum standards of control and review.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports weekly program status to the management and team. The report must include open items, budget and schedule status.
- Identifies project workload far enough in advance to plan and provide resources.
- Develops and manages the program budget. Uses accounting resources.
- Coordinates program resources (people and material) across The Tech Group globally.
- Ensures compliance with state, federal and company operating procedures and manufacturing process techniques (e.g., EPA, etc.).
- Provides service to all departments and troubleshoots any problems that may arise related to projects.
- Leads effort to be proficient and improve systems to support program resources (people and material) and the manufacturing process.
- Participates in decisions concerning development of project expenditures and direct/indirect labor authorizations.
- Monitors several projects for adherence to proper documentation by providing the operation with appropriate resources.
- Facilitates product transfer to manufacturing.
- Provides appropriate documentation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent ability to persuade user forums in a diplomatic and effective manner.
- Must be accessible to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Remain catalyst in the organization.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Technically competent in all phases of manufacturing processes and business operations.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Work on PCs, associated software and spreadsheets.
- Detail and follow-through oriented. Able to delegate responsibility.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Multi-task oriented and able to set priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing ERP experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with employees in all levels of the
- Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 0-5 % of the time
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Medical Device manufacturing requires strict adherence to standards. Working environment is a manufacturing facility, which houses plastic injection molding machines. Must tolerate fumes and particulate generated from various plastics. Work areas are equipped with adequate lighting, cooling/heating and equipment that are in a good working condition. Must work constructively in an environment that may be stressful due to competing resources while at all times maintaining company confidentiality.
- Must be able to work scheduled work week, plus overtime and/or irregular hours as required to complete assignments. May stand or sit for extended periods of time. Must transport oneself to and from other areas of the facility and travel to other divisions when necessary. Must have good visual acuity. If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues
