IT Applications Analyst – Seniors #TN135
Description
Provide comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions. Analyze and evaluate application functionality and provide recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business process and capabilities. Determine and document optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications. Configure and verify application setup and configuration. Develop expertise in emerging application and solution trends and recommend solutions to improve functionality gaps in the application. Work with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve functionality issues. Partner with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document, and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs. Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures, and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support. Create and define the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models, and documentation in order to build solutions that meet buildability, business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements. Lead Solution Functional Fit Analysis to study how well component parts have been designed, purchased and configured. Configure, create and test solutions for commercial off-the-shelf applications. Validate a configuration item change or solutions using the IT Operating Model (ITOM), including SDLC standards, tools and metrics, to ensure that it works as designed and meet user requirements. Create and manage functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution.

Experience and Education:
Positions require a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Management or Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Computer or IT Analyst or Consultant, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management or Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Computer or IT Analyst or Consultant, or related position. Experience to include: Evaluate application functionality; Resolve functionality issues; Define application functional designs; Solution design; Solution Functional Fit Analysis; IT Operating Model (ITOM); SDLC standards, tools and metrics; Create functional specifications.
