GME Assistant Program Director- Anesthesiology

HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine GME Program is now offering an exciting opportunity to advance your career as the Assistant Program Director for the Anesthesiology GME Program at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. Brooksville is located about 45 minutes north of Tampa.

We are seeking an individual that is inspired to lead, s how enthusiasm for Resident education and be an advocate for each Resident. E xcellent communication and interpersonal skills along with teamwork and collaboration are key to the success of the Program. Qualified Candidates:

• Must be board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
• Must have a minimum of one year post-residency participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
• Ensure adherence of ACGME guidelines and policies as well as the quality of didactic and clinical education in all rotation sites
• Responsible for establishing the clinical assignments of the Residents to achieve educational objectives.
• Provide mentorship with Residents and create a culture of inquiry and education for the Residents and Faculty.
• Participate in scholarly activity in conjunction with Residents plus academic conferences and Faculty development.
• Recruit and select optimal Residency candidates for the program. 
• Responsible for making decisions to promote Residents to the next level of training.

Program Highlights:

• Program based out of HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital with additional clinical rotations at Brandon Regional Hospital, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, Nemours Children’s Health, Johns Hopkin’s All Children’s and HCA Florida Largo Hospital.
• Two days per week protected GME time and 3 days clinical at Oak Hill.
• Total # of Residents is (18) with 8 CA-1s, 5 CA-2s, and 5 CA-3s.
• HCA Florida Oak Hill rotations include ICU, Gen OR, Acute Pain Service, Cardiothoracic, Pre-op/PACU.
