Job description
looking for reliable part-time barback staff. You must be available to work when we are open, Weds-Saturday from 4:30pm. We guarantee minimum of $16 per hour however most barbacks earn significantly more. Successful barbacks who demonstrate ability to serve drinks will be offered bartending shifts.
Riverview is a large independent ACF registered full-service restaurant & bar located on the Delaware river, in the historic district of Burlington, New Jersey. In addition to dining and bar shifts we also are a favorite special events venue and have private event and outdoor event spaces. We are open Weds through Saturday with service from 4:30-10pm. We offer employee discount for all employees.
We are a dining and event venue, a community and regional favorite, with a dedicated bar area in addition to our dining room and outdoor area weather permitting.. We are looking for outgoing barbacks with good interpersonal skills to join our team. You must be reliable, a team player and have a strong work ethic.
BARBACK RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a great bar experience for our guests
- Verify identification and age requirements of customers
- Ensure bar is stocked and ready to operate
- Collect & clean glasses and bar utensils
- Prepare simple drink orders for banquets or functions
- Suport our bartenders
- Respond promptly and courteously to correct any guest concerns about service or quality.
- Ensure bar is presentable and ready for guests at all times, perform side work as required or ensure side-work is done.
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
- Complete opening or closing tasks as required by shift.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver bar items and supplies
- ability to learn
