Job description

Title: Snowflake Admin
Location: Hybrid Mclean VA
Assignment Type: 6+ months with possible extension.

Vetting Questions need to be attached:

Question 1: Please describe your most recent Snowflake administration experience. What was the project? What was your contribution? What tools did you use?

Question 2: Please describe your most recent Snowflake experience in infrastructure integration with other systems including but not limited to single sign on, HashiCorp vault, SailPoint, API Gateway, PlainID and Dremio. What was the project? What was your contribution?

Question 3: Please describe your most recent Snowflake experience in disaster recovery. What was the project? What was your contribution?

Must Have Skills:
Snowflake Administration Level 3 Support

Snowflake Administration - cloning, storage management, compute management, etc. on Snowflake

Other Administration Activities Configuration, troubleshooting, disaster recovery

SnowSQL

Preferred Skills:
DDL (Data Definition Language)

Python

Integration with CyberArk/Hashicorp/Vault/Any other IAM Tools

Dremio

AWS

FinTech Industry

Qualifications:

• Experience with Snowflake admin.
• Be able to Identify the various aspects of compute and storage management in Snowflake
• Illustrate administrative tasks within the detailed architecture of Snowflake
• Employ recovery methods and agile development with Time Travel & Cloning
• Describe the DDL operations that work with fundamental database objects
• Use account-level replication for failover scenarios
• Good-to-have:
• Experience with Python programming skill.
• Experience with Keychain, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, PingID and Active Directory
• Experience with AWS (S3, Route53, Lambda, Cloudwatch)
• Experience with deployment and supporting production systems.
• Experience with Dremio
• Knowledge of application development lifecycles, & continuous integration/deployment practices
• Proficient in Agile Software Development methodology, processes, and practices.
• Good skill in communication, documentation, abstraction, and presentation.
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Detailed driven, Strong, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on in-depth experience of AWS Data Pipelines development and implementation is required
• AWS Associate or Professional level certifications is a plus
