Job description
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Maintain multiple sets of personal and small business books
- Maintain loan schedules, investment records, tax records, and follow-up on open items
- Schedule tax information and assist with tax preparers as needed
- Keep up with quarterly tax estimates and distribute to responsible parties
- Assist HR with pre-employment background checks and handle onboarding for new employees
- Handle personnel paperwork, benefit enrollment and questions, process and review multiple payrolls through ADP, handle garnishments, maintain payroll records and files
- Process bill payments, deposits, bank reconciliations, filing, and various other tasks as needed
- Assist other office personnel with accounting and bookkeeping questions
- Perform any other office tasks as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage 100 preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must have in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Detailed oriented, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, great time management
