Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Hybrid position (2 - 3 days remote). Specific times of the year (i.e. move-in) require all onsite days and possibly weekends
UC San Diego Housing, Dining and Hospitality provides housing and dining services for approximately 19,000 undergraduate and graduate students and their families in more than 400 buildings, covering nearly 10 million square feet. Consisting of eight divisions, HDH has more than 1,000 career employees, 1,200 to 1,300 student employees, and an annual operating budget greater than $250 million.
HDH is a self-supporting department that operates without any federal, state or campus funding. The department receives nearly 90% of its funding from housing and dining services. It also secures revenue from conference and catering services. The goal is to break even.
HDH is in the midst of implementing an aggressive building plan that will added 10,000 new beds in the next 10 years and will almost double our square footage by 2032.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Residential Services and Housing Allocations, the Residential Services Administrator applies business process and analysis concepts and department / unit and location policies and procedures to resolve a variety of business process problems, including implementing modifications based on this analysis. Works on business process issues of limited to moderate scope where evaluation of processes, procedures and data requires analysis using a variety of factors. The Residential Services Administrator is responsible for the administration of the Residential Services information system, including entry, analysis and auditing to ensure integrity of data. Acts as liaison to offices of the Graduate and Family Housing Community staff in implementing Housing Services information systems and the Undergraduate Residential Life Offices affecting 15,000 undergraduates and 3,000 graduate/family housing. Develops controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of data. Coordinates and trains staff in the use of the Residential Management System (RMS) software package. Maximize office efficiency and productivity by utilizing software to automate systems and procedures. Responsible for administration of templates and forms in Mercury, including analysis and auditing to ensure integrity of data. Implements modifications based on this analysis and is responsible for design and web implementation for online registrations.
Expertise with the implementation of large database systems and changes to those systems. Ability to devise and carry out system testing and implementation plans. Demonstrated ability to query large databases through MS Access or SQL Demonstrated ability working with large databases which include various modules. Ability to analyze information regarding occupancy factors. Knowledge of Web documents and HTML
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher).
Experience associated with analysis of processes and issues of moderate scope, information flow and architecture.
Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT.
General knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
