Job description

Behavioral Dimensions is hiring behavior therapists to work as a member of a team providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities who engage in severe problem behavior (e.g., aggression, self-injury). The behavior therapist will provide direct care under the supervision of a doctoral-level licensed mental health professional.

· Ability to develop and maintain effective communications and working relationships with other employees, patients, and their families

· Ability to demonstrate professional behavior by adhering to organizational, state, and national policies and procedures (as applicable)

• Provide evidence-based behavior interventions with a focus on serving individuals with severe behavior that are prepared, directed, and supervised by a doctoral-level licensed mental health professional

· Must be able to demonstrate the delivery of services at a level of excellence

• Be proficient with using a PC computer system and Microsoft Products to write and take data
• Work collaboratively with other professionals and students/trainees

· High School Diploma or GED

· At least 18 years old

• Pass a criminal background check
• Possess the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
• Proficient with using a PC computer system and Microsoft Products© to write information and collect data

· At least three months of experience working with children who engage in problem behavior

· $16-20/hr based on experience

·

o 20-29 hours per week M-F between the hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

o Potential for full time employment and generous benefits

o Hours can be flexible to some extent around other time commitments, but most include a minimum of several 3 hour blocks of time M-F 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
