Job description
This is a remote position.
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Insurance Accounting Specialist is someone who has a background in accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliations, preferably within the insurance industry. This individual will possess great communication skills as well as great interpersonal skills to ensure the Agency continues to maintain positive relationships with our clients, carriers and finance companies. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate client billing records and notes; and updating applicable organizational programs. The role requires routine follow-ups with clients and collaboration with team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Sending and reconciling invoices
Providing billing account updates with clients
Payment processing
Generating and processing premium finance agreements
Addressing and resolving client questions, issues and concerns relating to billing
Generating and maintaining weekly accounting reports
Generating client invoices and payment receipts
Ability to communicate and work well with other carriers, accounting departments and underwriter regarding any payments and invoices
Updating and maintaining accurate customer accounts and records, including documentation, collection notices and payment plans
