Job description

Position Description:
This role is critical for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all maintenance services, including routine maintenance, turnaround projects, CAPEX planning and execution, and equipment inspection. The ideal candidate will manage materials, adhere to safety and environmental objectives, oversee maintenance contractors, and contribute to the site’s strategic and operational goals.

Responsibilities

- Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local SHE policies, government laws, and regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive inspection, integrity, and SHE training programs.

- Reliability and Availability Enhancement : Formulate and enforce a reliability/availability strategy, including system performance monitoring and root cause analysis for failures.

- Mechanical Integrity and Standards Compliance : Maintain asset integrity according to industry standards and conduct regular audits and corrective actions.

- Financial and Budget Management: Develop the annual maintenance budget, monitor performance, and implement cost controls to meet financial targets.

- Team Development and Performance Management: Align team roles with performance expectations, identify training needs, and ensure compliance with human resource policies.

- Technology and CAPEX Leadership: Coordinate with engineering teams for CAPEX execution and adherence to site engineering policies.

- Contractor Management: Oversee relationships with embedded and external contractors, ensuring compliance and performance.

Position Requirements

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

-Proven experience in maintenance and engineering leadership within a manufacturing or similar environment.

-Strong understanding of SHE regulations, mechanical integrity standards, and industry best practices.

-Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, with a keen sense for cost efficiency.

-Leadership skills with a focus on team development, performance management, and strategic planning.

-Effective communication and negotiation skills, capable of managing contractor relationships and aligning team efforts with organizational goals.
