Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at the Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls, SD. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' musculoskeletal system. This position is a 12-hour, 3 days per week position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' musculoskeletal system
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Monitor patients during MRI procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality and accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred (but not required)
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
