The VP of Retail Marketing Strategy, Front Store, will play a key strategic role in growing our retail customer base and building our business. This executive will lead the development of the marketing strategy and deliver cutting-edge programs that drive new customer acquisition and loyalty for our traditional retail front store businesses (e.g. beauty, health, general merchandise, and consumables). Specifically, this individual will lead the team that is accountable to driving retail traffic (in-store and online), customer growth, loyalty program enrollment and retention, and digital commerce penetration. Teams reporting into this leader include the Loyalty CRM strategy team, the Integrated Marketing event team, the Digital customer growth team, the Retail brand strategy team, and the Customer Intelligence team. Collectively, these teams work together to drive customer growth and engagement for the retail front store business.
You will make an impact by:
Demonstrate proven ability to outline and execute business strategies: The ideal candidate will have significant experience developing strategies based on data and insights to successfully lead a team developing highly visible, multi-channel marketing strategies. Specific experience with developing targeting strategies, optimizing channel mix, advancing CRM and Martech strategies, unlocking unique insights, and developing messaging prioritization to drive customer first business outcomes is valuable.
Be a visionary change agent: The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking visionary who will advance CVS’s programs to gain market leadership via customer acquisition and retention. leader will also always have staunch knowledge of customer and market dynamics to advocate for customer first approaches to growth. The ability to manage through ambiguity and complexity to take calculated risks to solve problems, forge new paths for growth, and achieve challenging goals will be critical. He or she will demonstrate resilience and resourcefulness when faced with challenges and obstacles.
Drive consumer value proposition design: This leader will impact and influence the retail leadership team on advancing a differentiated retail value proposition and impact and influence how that comes to life across all experiences.
Advance the use of customer intelligence: Deep analytical and critical thinking skills to ask the right questions about who customers are, what behaviors they are exhibiting, and why. It’s imperative that this leader also ensures that customer intelligence is visualized and a distributed in a way that makes it regularly used to drive action.
Advancing CVS’s programs to gain market leadership by shaping their design.
This executive will be a vocal advocate for and lead change, in both marketing and the larger business. This leader will also always have staunch knowledge of customer and market dynamics to advocate for customer first approaches to growth

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA Preferred
