If you have a passion for finance, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for uncovering insights within financial data, we invite you to consider our Treasury Analyst II position! This position performs daily responsibilities of treasury, payables, and middle office, including liquidity management, short-term forecasting, overnight investments, facilitation of payments, and various risk management duties. This position is also responsible for the accurate and complete accounting and disclosure information for financial statements and regulatory reporting.
This is a hybrid-remote position reporting to the Cedar Rapids, IA or Madison, WI office. Candidates must reside in Iowa or Wisconsin.
What you will do
Performs daily cash positioning, short-term forecasting, initiation of overnight investments, daily transfers, and recording keeping; monitors revolver balances while staying informed of the expected future outflows and inflows of cash.
Takes appropriate actions necessary to ensure that liquidity is appropriately managed and maintained, including making daily borrowing and investing decisions and reporting daily cash balances to management.
Assists with accounting close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and preparation of disclosure information for financial statement and regulatory reporting.
Ensures compliance with various corporate, bank, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and federal and state requirements and covenants.
Ensures compliance with established internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Assists with bank account maintenance, including security management, user access, opening and closing accounts, analyzing charges/fees , and ensuring appropriate services are applied to each account.
Assists with monitoring of daily compliance of risk management policies and procedures tolerance levels by preparing daily exposure reports; assists with other risk management reporting or analysis as necessary.
Assists with the execution of energy trading contracts and monitors collateral from counterparties for terms and expiration dates to keep them current.
Participates in analysis of intermediate level financial data/trends, to assist with treasury, accounts payable, and/or middle office operational business decisions.
Maintains an intermediate level of understanding of purchasing and payment policies to allow for support of accounts payable routine tasks, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, intermediate analysis of vendor payment trends, and facilitation of payments.

Education
Required Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of financial modeling, financial planning, and general computer applications.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, Microsoft Suite of Applications, Peoplesoft, etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of common financial software applications.
Experience performing various treasury operations, cash management and accounting functions to include wires, ACHs, cash positioning, cash forecasting, bank balance reporting, and bank fee analysis and bank connectivity.
High attention to detail, accuracy, organization and tight deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
