Position Summary/Description:

Flexible work arrangements, including remote/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as hybrid. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs.

The Finance Compliance and Training Manager plays an instrumental role within the Finance and Research Support Team (FiRST), a dynamic financial shared services organization catering to multiple departments across the School of Medicine managing over $832 million. This pivotal position is entrusted with ensuring rigorous compliance, managing audit processes, orchestrating comprehensive training programs, and providing strategic triage support to optimize financial operations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial regulations fortifying the department's compliance posture and operational efficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to develop, implement, and oversee robust compliance and training programs.

Education and Experience:

Thorough knowledge of government accounting methods, procedures, and accounting practices. Experience in a university and/or medical setting is preferred. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
