JOB PURPOSE:
The Financial Analyst provides insight into results, trends, and opportunities related to Sales and Marketing by developing and executing budget, forecast, and actual analyses, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting, dashboards, updates, and analyses to support their objectives. This proactive and leadership role assists in the development sophisticated financial modeling and analyses for reporting sales performance for the North America.
Job description
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Use data from Salesforce, NetSuite and other sources to perform sales financial analyses, tracking, forecasting, budgeting, sales financial reporting and operational performance
• Create and deliver sales reporting at an aggregate, sales by segment, and geography as required
• Leverage advanced data-connection technology such as Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI to develop, implement and deploy self-service dynamic forecast tool and reporting to business partners throughout the company for expense management, headcount reconciliation, inventory and financial consolidation to local and corporate ERP systems
• Assist in business transformation efforts by consulting with business partners to develop self-service products such ROI calculators and trackers, KPI templates and marketing spend trackers
• Assist in developing structured monthly and quarterly executive management reporting.
• Assit in driving and developing the annual plan process with business partners
• Work with sales teams, executive management and other stakeholders to refine and execute actual sales performance vs. budgets and forecasts and other ad hoc requests form VP of Finance and/or VP of Sales
• Use a data-driven approach to assist in modeling sales forecasting and analysis.
• Responsible as sales financial expert and primary contactfor revenue tracking and reporting
• Financial business case point of contact for revenue modeling, forecasting labor expenses, and assessing the necessity of future headcount additions
• U.S. Operating Margin reporting by department, channel, and segment
• Manage financial reporting to global and regional leadership for U.S. and Canada through development of ppt content
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or equivalent experience required
• 4 or more years of experience is required in one or more of the following areas: sales forecasting/planning; sales analysis, inventory management; technical sales
• Familiar with advanced data analytical tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL, Power BI, Access and Data cube (OLAP) architecting
• Some experience with ERP systems and data extraction knowlege such as ODBC required
• MS Excel reporting building and analysis skills preferred – Slicer Reporting, Pivot Tables, Macros, Fuctioning, Charting and VBA
