Technical Writer and Data Support

Job description
AVOX supports commercial, military and general aviation life support equipment. This position will support gaseous, mask and chemical oxygen equipment.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical writing for various documents used for certification and field communication. As well as overseeing the integrity, correspondence, compliance, and security of program and contract data items. The goal is to ensure that information is presented consistently, flows timely and securely.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Create engineering design reports for off-the-shelf products to support certification.
2. Develops data collection and evaluation methodologies, including format design, project criteria and requirements, data compilation, relevancy and usage.
3. Review engineering documents and drawings for customer data requirements and AVOX standards
4. Formulates, implements, and enforces proper data collection policies and procedures.
5. Determines data needed to be collected and the appropriate data resources for all active programs/projects.
6. Provide procedures and training to appropriate Engineers in related topics of data management.
7. Assist with entering and updating Item Master and BOM data in both PLM and ERP systems
8. Support the Configuration Manager with related tasks
9. Deployment of new PLM system and management
10. Enter and update vendor data records in PLM system.
11. Facilitate Customer Approvals
12. Maintain customer/contract design data and requirements.
13. Prepare engineering Data Item correspondence per customer requirements
14. Train and educate personnel to customer data requirements
15. Submit data items to customer via portals, email ...
16. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for distribution.
17. PLM Administrator
18. Ensures quality data collection techniques are established for reporting agencies
19. Evaluates current Data delivery and correspondence methods for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education -
Required – BS in Engineering, or equivalent experience with degree
Experience –
Required
- 4+ years' experience technical writing of engineering documents, handbooks, guides, and/or standards.
- 2+ years' in maintaining PLM systems
Preferred – 10+ years' experience in PLM
Special Knowledge/Skills –
Required
- Must be able to understand complex information.
- Exhibit good communication and technical writing skills
Preferred – Knowledge of ERP systems
