Position Description
Job Title: Program Manager - Scholarships
Reporting Functions: Reports to the Director of School Development
Job Function: The Program Manager of Scholarships is responsible for oversight, growth, and administration of the Diocesan school scholarship program to increase enrollment and promote fiscal health for our Diocesan schools. The position requires annual planning and proactive research to identify sources of funding within the EITC/OSTC programs, and changes to PA state legislation. The Program Manager interfaces with outside organization, individual donors and businesses, pastors, principals, school advancement directors, along with the Executive Director of Stewardship and Development and the Eastern PA Scholarship Foundation.
Scope of School Support: The Elementary Schools, High Schools, and Special Learning Centers in 5 counties: Lehigh, Berks, Northampton, Carbon, and Schuylkill.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working with the Director of School Development to develop an annual plan of strategies and tactics to drive the overall growth of scholarship funds available for Diocesan schools.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent from the Office of Education, Director of School Development, Marketing and Enrollment, and Finance.
- Provide administration, development, and execution support for the Diocesan Scholarship Organization - Eastern Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation (EPSF).
- Coordinate with the schools and the diocese to strategically
solicit donors for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit
Program and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program.
- Make presentations to schools and board members to educate
them on the Tax Credit programs.
- Execute the scholarship application process.
- Administer all donations received by the EPSF, making certain
that all state requirements are satisfied, acknowledgement letters
are sent, and all funds are tracked.
- Promote EPSF initiatives in the community, parishes, and schools.
- Manage the meetings of the EPSF Trust Advisors by providing
meeting schedules, working with the chairperson and the Director
of School Development and Scholarships on the agendas and
completing meeting minutes.
- Develop, administer, and distribute scholarship funding outside
the Tax Credit Program, as required.
- Preserve ongoing relationships by initiating and responding to individual donors, corporations and businesses, EPSF, and community organizations when renewing or securing new scholarship gifts.
- Develop, administer and distribute endowed funds for Catholic school scholarships.
- Proactively seek new scholarship funding opportunities.
- Responsible for event coordination and administration of the
scholarship work processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of School
Development.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years relevant experience, preferably in fundraising.

- A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, strong work ethic, and a willingness to quickly and continuously gain knowledge of the mission of the Diocese of Allentown and its affiliates.
- Valid Driver's License.
Salary range: $50,000- 60, 000; based on experience.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use of hands to operate standard office equipment; with occasional reaching and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30. Will be required to meet with constituencies outside and in excess of normal work hours. May be required to travel within the 5 counties: Northampton, Berks, Carbon, Schuylkill, and Lehigh County (normally not overnight).
