1st Shift: 5 am – 3:20 pm M-F (16/hr)
2nd Shift: 3:20pm – 1:40am M-F(17/hr)
Scheduled Saturdays (one month in advance notice to the whole site): 5 am – 10 am
The assembly process varies in the cell you could be working in but there is a basic process that is followed with slight tweaks to the process, again, depending on the particular cell you are in. Each cell consists of 3-6 production workers. At the beginning of the cell production, the filter paper (known as "media") is formed around the metal casing of the filters and then glued together. There is a visual inspection that is performed on the filter before going to the packaging. They are then packaged in boxes and then palletized according to customer specifications. All assembled filters will have a job order that will specify the quantity, type, and assembly instructions to follow in order to conform to customer specifications. The production floor has several cells that assemble various types of filter systems. All candidates must be flexible to learn different cells.
