Description
The Bridge is seeking a Counseling & Therapy (CT) Director who reports to the Deputy Director and is part of the senior management team. This person plans, directs and coordinates all activities of the program to include direct supervision of licensed therapists and interns, scheduling activities of staff, events, and support groups.
The CT Director is responsible for coordinating and providing culturally and linguistically competent support for clinical services, programs, operations, and training; and will be expected to maintain a reasonable caseload, as well as adherence to/compliance with all state and federal counseling standards and guidelines for the ethical and professional provision of services.
Supervise and oversee all aspects of clinical services. Assess services on an on-going basis. Set department goals and objectives. Establish, monitor and revise procedures and contracts as needed to ensure compliance. Responsible for staff on-boarding, hiring, conducting annual performance evaluation; ongoing staff development; terminating employees; reviewing schedules and reviewing timesheets for accuracy and ensuring timely submission. Conduct individual and department supervisions and meetings on a regular basis. Assist in the strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting for program. Oversee the development of psycho-educational support groups for survivors of domestic and sexual violence to assist client in developing healthy coping mechanisms. Ensure compliance with policy and procedure manuals, workload standards, professional practice and monthly reporting requirements. Maintain liaison relationships with local mental health care systems and resource providers.
Provide preparation and coping methods through diagnostic and treatment procedures; provide information regarding the impact of domestic violence and sexual assault; minimizing psychological trauma; helping children and families maintain normal routines; minimizing the stress of transition. Oversee Chemical Dependency Program to include educational programs, assessments and communty partnerships. Oversees the development of programs that stimulate emotional, intellectual, and social growth of children by developing and implementing therapeutic programs and activities tailored to children utilizing culturally competent resources.
Actively participate in local and state coalitions, organizations, and other networking; and keep abreast of legislation related to mental health, counseling and therapeutic services. Provide back up support for on call hospital and DVHRT accompaniments on a rotating basis.
Collect survey data and provide regular updates on client feedback in preparation for grant reporting and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Manage the agency waitlist for counseling and therapeutic services, assess clients’ eligibility for insured options and provide culturally relevant referrals. Master’s Degree in Family Therapy (LMFT), Social Work (LCSW), or Counseling (LPC). Appropriate State of Texas licensure in their field of clinical practice.
