Job description

We are a dynamic and innovative research and science team, specializing in Survey Solutions and Data Modernization. We are currently looking for a talented Senior SAS Programmer/Data Manager to join our team. This position offers a fully remote work option.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Development: Spearhead the creation of efficient data management processes, focusing on complex datasets with ongoing updates.

Documentation: Oversee the development of comprehensive data management and analytical documentation, including data user's guides, codebooks, and public use dataset documentation.

Technical Support: Provide support and technical direction to project management staff, offering recommendations for technical and analytical best practices to achieve study goals.

Data Cleaning: Develop data cleaning specifications and code to support the final dataset production for client delivery.

Quality Control: Develop and maintain quality control procedures for internal and client deliverables.

Innovation: Support innovation in resolving complex data management challenges.

Team Leadership: Oversee and allocate tasks to early career SAS programmers and data managers, providing leadership, direction, and quality control for their tasks.

Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external clients at all levels to obtain or clarify project requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public health, social science, mathematics, or relevant related social science and/or survey analytics degree.

At least 6 years of applied and demonstrable SAS experience using SAS for survey data management or analysis, including base SAS procedures and advanced SAS techniques.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Survey Research/Methods, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Mathematics, Data Sciences, or other relevant statistical or social science field.

Base or Advanced SAS certifications.

Experience conducting statistical analyses using various methods, and proficiency in other statistical programming or scripting languages (R, SPSS, Stata, Python, SQL).

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills related to data solutions.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients at all levels to obtain or clarify project requirements.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach.

Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.

Strong intellectual curiosity and a team-oriented mindset.
