Training
- On the job training will be provided to all nursing assistants. The t raining period will be tailored to each individual, longer or shorter depending on comfort level and experience
What do we ask from you?
Requirements
- Effective communication
- A patient attitude while working with residents and coworkers
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
- Willingness to obtain certification within 120-days of employment
Job Duties
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and d evelop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
