Supervising Physician – Arizona

Matrix Providers is hiring a Supervising MD ONLY , No Exams specializing in general medicine to supervise Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants conducting a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Arizona.
+ Employment Status: PRN
+ Compensation: This is an Independent Contractor position as is paid monthly $150.00 per Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant supervised, with a limit of 4.
+ Schedule: PRN
The Supervising Physician must have and meet the following:
+ Degree: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with experience in general medicine for all body systems.
+ Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification.
+ Experience: Primary care experience is required. Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
+ Must possess basic computer skills.
Requirements: The Supervising Physician must have and meet the following:

+ Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted license in the specialty field of M.D. or D.O. for your employment.
+ Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
+ Must possess basic computer skills.
+ All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
+ Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
Job Summary:
+ Supervising Physicians will provide oversight to the Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, providing one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
+ Those completing the compensation and pension exams will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
+ State guidelines outlined by the Board of Nursing in the state where the NP/PA is completing exams must be followed.
+ Standard exams include – musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
