Job description

BrightStar Care of Morris & Essex County is seeking a compassionate and skilled Infant Pediatric Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. As an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our youngest patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with infants and possess strong clinical skills, as well as a passion for providing top-quality healthcare. Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and competent nursing care to infants and their families in accordance with the established plan of care and nursing standards
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for each patient
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the physician and interdisciplinary team
• Educate and support parents on infant care and development, including breastfeeding, proper nutrition, and milestones
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and promote optimal outcomes for patients
• Adhere to all healthcare and infection control standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all patient care and progress.

Requirements:

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of New Jersey
• Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably with infants
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric and infant care
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Updated physical, negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• CPR certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support is preferred)
• Physical ability to perform job-related tasks, which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
